PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME
‘Thank You For The Music’ – a music anthem that will ring out across our campus when our much-anticipated production of Mamma Mia! takes to the stage.
We all know that dance, drama and music unite communities and we are seeing that first hand through this production – it is a celebration of our community's creativity, teamwork, and talent.
In the leadup to these performances, our core values have been fundamental. Students and staff have had to exhibit respect and integrity for one another working as part of a team under considerable time constraints; strive for excellence in every detail of their performance; and, in an innovative first, collaborate directly with industry professionals in audio engineering, musical scoring, and lighting design.
These countless hours of preparation and rehearsal come together in five performances, where our community of students, staff, parents and alumni unite to recognise and celebrate the hard work and dedication of our talented performers and staff, supported by their families.
Thank you for your continued support of Pittwater House – either as a sponsor or as a spectator of this major production. Together, let's enjoy these unforgettable shows where music, dance, and the vibrant spirit of our School are all centre stage.

Set against the backdrop of a picturesque Greek island paradise, the enchanting narrative of Catherine Johnson unfolds, drawing inspiration from the timeless songs of ABBA. This heartwarming tale revolves around the life-changing events that unfold on the eve of a young bride-to-be's wedding.
As the story unfurls, we are introduced to a spirited daughter on the brink of matrimony, her heart filled with curiosity about her own lineage. In a quest to unveil the mystery surrounding her father's identity, she embarks on a journey that transcends time and brings three significant men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited two decades ago.
The idyllic setting becomes the stage for a poignant reunion, where emotions run high, and long-buried secrets come to light. The echoes of ABBA's timeless melodies serve as a magical thread weaving through the narrative, adding depth and resonance to each character's journey.
Against a backdrop of sun-kissed landscapes, azure seas, and rustic charm, the characters navigate the complexities of love, family, and the passage of time. The island, a character in itself, holds the key to unlocking the mysteries of the past, providing a captivating canvas for the characters to confront their shared history.
As the narrative unfolds, the audience is treated to a tapestry of emotions, laughter, and nostalgia, all seamlessly interwoven with ABBA's iconic tunes. The power of music serves as a transformative force, guiding the characters through moments of joy, heartbreak, and self-discovery.
Catherine Johnson's masterful storytelling skillfully blends the timeless appeal of ABBA's music with a narrative that transcends generations. The tale is not merely a celebration of love and the bonds that connect us but also a testament to the enduring magic of storytelling and the profound impact of music on the human soul. In this Greek island paradise, where love is in the air and secrets linger in the sea breeze, audiences are invited to embark on a journey that is as uplifting as it is unforgettable.
